Realize Buys 3D Systems iPro 9000 SLA Precision Center
Celebrates 10th anniversary in business
ROCK
HILL, SC, Nov 12, 2008 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a
leading provider of 3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing
solutions, announced today that Realize Inc., a Noblesville,
Indiana-based Rapid Prototyping service company celebrating 10 years in
business in 2009, has purchased an iPro 9000 SLA Precision Center to
increase its large-part manufacturing capabilities.
Realize
is a 3D Systems’ Preferred Service Provider (PSP) delivering high-quality
Stereolithography parts to customers around the world. The next-generation
iPro 9000 is Realize’s sixth SLA System from 3D Systems and was purchased to
respond to increased demand for large, single-piece parts built from 3D
Systems’ integrated portfolio of Accura Plastics.
The iPro 9000 SLA Center quickly and economically produces durable
plastic parts with unprecedented surface smoothness, feature resolution,
edge definition and tolerances that rival the accuracy of CNC-machined
plastic parts. Equipped with the new, state-of-the-art SteadyPower Imager,
the iPro 9000 SLA Center delivers consistently reliable output with faster
build speeds and lower part cost.
"We are excited to begin our 10th year in business by adding the latest
Stereolithography technology to build top-quality prototypes for our
customers, taking another step forward in our progression as a leading RP
company," said Todd Reese, President of Realize Inc. "The combination of
large-part capacity, high accuracy and crisp detail of the iPro 9000 SLA
Center paired with the new SteadyPower Imager and our excellent turnaround
times have already impressed customers during its first few weeks of
operation. Our automotive clients are thrilled with our new ability to build
one-piece parts that are 30 inches long."
"We are pleased that Realize decided to acquire a new iPro 9000 SLA
Precision Center to deliver enhanced value-added Pro Parts precision,
quality and service capabilities to its growing customer base," said Abe
Reichental, 3D Systems’ President and Chief Executive Officer. "Todd and his
team at Realize hold customer service and quality as their most important
priorities, and we are honored to be their partner in this pursuit."
