3D Systems to Unveil ProJet 5000 Large Format 3D Printer

HILL, SC, Oct 20, 2008 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a
leading provider of 3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing
solutions, plans to discuss the development status of its
next-generation ProJet 5000 3D Production System tomorrow morning during
its annual World Conference in Charlotte, NC.
This new, larger format, high-speed 3D Printer is designed to deliver
high-definition parts from a variety of plastic and wax materials that can
be configured and selected interchangeably. 3D Systems will display this new
system during its World Conference as part of a series of technology
announcements that it is making during the global event. The company plans
to commercialize this new generation of systems in 2009.
The ProJet 5000 3D Production System is designed to incorporate the next
generation of 3D Systems' patented and proprietary Multi-Jet Printing (MJP)
technology with features that include versatile build resolutions to fit all
applications, remote diagnostics for easy serviceability, and a wide-range
of interchangeable plastic and wax material options. The ProJet 5000 is
designed to have the largest build platform within the ProJet family as well
as the ability to produce parts in excess of 19.5 inches (or 500 mm) long.

versatility, production capacity and ease of use for our customers," said
Brian Fraser, Vice-President and General Manager of 3D Systems' 3D Printing
products. "When available on the market, we expect this system to deliver
significant advancements beyond the current technologies in the

3D Systems is scheduled at 10 a.m. tomorrow to discuss the ProJet 5000 3D
Production System during a technology announcement at its
World Conference
in Charlotte, NC.
