Autodesk, TenLinks Ride Against MS
Charity bike ride to raise money to fight disease
NOVATO, CA and LAKE OSWEGO, OR, Jul 13, 2009 -
TenLinks and Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK) will participate in a
group bicycle ride to raise money to fight multiple
sclerosis. The ride will cover as much as 150 miles over two
days on August 1-2, and will take place in Oregon, near
Autodesk’s Manufacturing Industry Group’s headquarters.
“Such a long ride will not be easy,” said Roopinder Tara,
president and CEO of TenLinks who will be joining Team
Autodesk at the nearby Autodesk office in Lake Oswego,
Oregon. “But our effort will pale against the struggle faced
by the victims of MS and of their families and loved ones.”

MS is an incurable disease affecting the central nervous
system, afflicting over 400,000 people in the US and an
estimated 2.5 million worldwide. Its symptoms vary in
severity and type, ranging from fatigue and numbness all the
way to paralysis and in rare cases, death. About half of MS
sufferers cannot work. Money raised by the ride will help
fund research to find a cure.
“Autodesk’s mission is to improve and enrich the lives of
those in need by supporting vital charities and community
programs like the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,” said
Grant Rochelle, director at Autodesk. “This is the third
consecutive year that we've formed a team to ride in the
Oregon MS Bike Tour, and the second year that Roopinder has
joined Team Autodesk. Together, we’re honored to help fund
the research advances that are so desperately needed by the
thousands living with MS.”
Team Autodesk hopes to raise $15,000 to fight MS, and
full time Autodesk employees are eligible to have donations
of between $50 and $500 matched by the Autodesk Matching
Gifts Program. Those wishing to contribute may do so at the
MS150 website.
